    After Installing the newest Windows 10 version, 1903, my headphones aren't detected.

    This is starting to drive me nuts. Every since I updated my PC to 1903 my headphones aren't being detected at all. Every time I plug them in either via AUX or USB they just do not get recognized. Furthermore, it seems like Realtek HD Audio isn't working correctly, and it says the "hardware" is missing entirely.


    "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)



    To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer."


    I also have to check "show hidden devices" for some reason, which I never had to do before. I've tried the headphones on other devices and they work fine, it's strictly this computer.

    Windows 10 update version 1903 - Headphone Not Recognized

    I'm a big fan of Windows 10, however, updating to the May version 1903, I lose headphone recognition.
    When plugging-in the headphone I should see:
    "Realtek HD Audio 2nd output (Realtek High Definition Audio) in Device Manager.
    I do not see this with version 1903 and do see this with previous versions of Windows 10.

    Before restoring to a previous version of Windows 10 (1803), I took steps to uninstall the Audio driver, restart, reinstall Audio driver to see if that would work - it did not.

    Anyone else experienced this anomaly?

    Is there another solution using Windows 10 (1903)?

    I'm running Windows 10 on an HP Z400 Workstation.

    Windows 10 issues!

    I had a similar issue but it only happen on older hardware, Windows would install the stock drivers which would make it nearly impossible to access the internet. Luckily I had newest Intel and Realtek NIC drivers that ran perfectly on Win 10 x64 1607 version, installing those fixed my that problem.

    This also can happen on a non-fresh install of WIn 10, when you try to boot from a different computer/motherboard, after a single failed boot, Windows will try to re-detect and re-install all of the drivers, which definitely won't be the most stable or newest.

    I tried everything, flushing cache, resetting router, uninstalling the device completely from the list, removing the LAN connection entirely, none of those helped.
