Windows 10: After installing update KB5048161 on some machines my .net framework application appears in...

I've attached a screen shot of what task manager looks like after running the executable once. It ran all the executables I've blacked out with just one launch of the exe. This only happens after installing the newer .net updates, we believe we've narrowed it down to KB5048161. This is happening to multiple customers that are on versions of the software that work fine without the update. The multiple exes running causes a problem with our business logic on startup of the application. I'm wondering if this is an expected new feature and if so why? If not, is there anything I can do to fix the p

.NET Framework 1.0 updates install every day

The issue might occur if there is any corruption during windows update.I will certainly help you with the issue.

I suggest you to follow the methods below:

Method 1 I suggest you to run Windows Update Troubleshooter.

Follow the below steps:

Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on windows update.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2 I also suggest you to uncheck the
.NET Framework 1.0 and restart the computer and check if issue persists,

Please follow the steps below:

• 
  Right click on start menu and click on programs and features.
  
• 
  Click Turn windows features on or off.
  
• 
  Uncheck .NET Framework 1.0 and .NET Framework services.
  
• 
  Click on ok.
  

Once, you have unchecked these, Please restart your computer and recheck
the .NET Framework 1.0 and .NET Framework services andcheck.

.net framework 3.5 sp1 not installing

Have you tried running a .NET 3.5 application? FYI, 3.5.1 is current--3.5 is old.
