Windows 10: After installing Win 10 Vers 1903 most of the links (for Clicking) in Backup and Restore...

Yesterday I allowed the Microsoft Windows 10 Vers 1903 to be installed on my computer. I have been using Windows 10 for 4 years, and have always had successful updates using Windows Backup and Restore (Windows 7). Now the Backup and Restore control panel launches OK, but clicking on the following items on the screen does absolutely noting: "Manage Space", "Change Settings", and "Select another backup to restore files from". I'm afraid to try clicking "Restore all sers' files" (as I don't want to make negative progress).


I believe my previous update was an 18xx number (although "Update history" is only providing info on the currently installed update).


Does anyone know how to get this backup app working again with the "Feature Update 1903" in place?

Backup Windows 10 Installation

1. Download https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree. Install, run, select: Create an image of the partition(s) required to backup and restore Windows.
2. Click on first icon to create rescue media on CD/USB so can boot from to restore when needed.

Backup Windows 10 Installation

This looks like a good product. So, I just need to confirm that with the free version, and following the instructions you have provided, I will be able to create a bootable clone of my Windows 10 drive, and that copy will work exactly the same as the other one when I boot on to that drive. Is that correct?

 

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.

1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination
   
   
   
4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
5. Boot up with your new HD.
