Since my Windows was updated to the latest version, I have been experiencing slowness in programs and games. I must say that my laptop is a gaming laptop and has a powerful system, so it can't be hardware-related because this happened as soon as Windows was updated, and I don't know how long I have to wait for Microsoft to fix the Windows 11 problems.

Games run very slowly on Windows 10

1) Is the issue confined to specific game?

2) Is all the system programs, running fine?

I would suggest you to run maintenance task and check if it helps.

The Run maintenance task checks issues that might slow down your computer's, such as how many users are currently logged on to the computer and whether multiple programs are running at the same time.

Follow the below steps.

  Press Windows + X on the keyboard.
  
• 
  Select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on Run maintenance task under
  System and Security.

Programs run slowly

I have a window 7 ,14 years from now , Because Microsoft ended the support from windows 7 and programs very slow, glitches,and won't run smoothly,I decided to upgrade it to windows 10..I'm very glad because it run now smoothly,New UI,and more features.But after a week on windows 10,It run slowly again (only happening when opening programs),like edge when I open it, just white screen for few minutes before it's open.sometimes "it's not responding" so I need to reopen it again.

When multiple programs(4tabs)are open,It run now slowly (doesn't affect the program previously opened,only affect a new program)

All drivers and windows update are up-to date

( No heavy games installed such as steam,)

(My programs installed is just 7 programs chrome,Facebook,YouTube, Snapchat,visual code studio,driver updater,others are pre installed)

(350 available storage)

Setting virtual ram, Defragmentation,clear temporary files, manually upgrading driver.Helps.but opening programs does not fix at all

 

Problems with running games

I suggest you to try installing games in compatibility mode. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows. Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

  Right-click on the setup file and click on ‘Properties’.
  
• 
  Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once
  this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
