    After July 2020 Windows 10 update still cannot install any printer driver and print to pdf...


    Have a HP laptop running Windows 10 Home, OS build 19041.388. Automatic Windows 10 update turned on.


    The June 2020 update hobbled the PC. Print drivers stopped working and gradually PC slowed down and then stopped working. Reset the PC on July 3.


    After this reset the PC was usable and all programs worked fine. But still couldn't install print drivers. Note: printer is on a network and other PCs print to it successfully. So did this PC before the June update. Also the print to pdf feature stopped working.


    July update KB4565503 installed July 16, 2020. Still can't install print drivers and print to pdf not working. Checked for additional updates on 7/19/20 shows none.


    Tried to turn on Microsoft Print to PDF in the Turn Windows features on or off menu but this unsuccessful. Error code 0x800F0922. Tried to follow the Microsoft instructions on how to address this problem but the indicated subdirectories are not present


    So 2 questions:

    - how to get Windows to allow print driver installation after July 2020 update

    - how to turn on Windows Print to PDF feature

    Cannot print to wireless printer or PDF since installing Windows10


    This is really frustrating and I'm wasting so much time trying to print hard copy docments or pdf's for mailing. Each attempt results in a 'not responding' message and I have to close the application. My wireless printer does not show up in devices. PDF software is included in apps lists but I still cannot print to pdf. Do I have to re-install my printer and pdf software? So far, for me, Windows 10 is not living up to its promise! Can I get some help please?

    Windows 10 will not print PDF files

    Hi, I think I have found the problem. After the Windows 10 update yesterday, I couldn't print with my software that prints PDF. Others softwares can print documents like .docx and .xls.

    I found that one of my printers which I install is "missing" in the list of printers but still available in the software's printer list. I made a change to another printer driver of the same printer as the default printer. And immediately all softwares are
    able to print PDF. It is something related to the "missing" printer.

    Suggest those with this problem to add a new printer setting and make it default printer.

    unable to select Microsoft Print to PDF, as the driver is not available

    I have been unable to install/repair Microsoft Print to PDF. After working my way through several online suggestions, including:

    SFC scan, DISM scan, making sure .NET framework was enabled, using the windows 10 update troubleshooter and resetting the windows update components I was finally able to activate Microsoft Print to PDF within the "Turn Windows features on and off" only after
    I turned off the print spooler. Then and only then was I able to select the Microsoft Print to PDF in the windows features and then have it successfully load.

    The problem now is that if I go into add device and then select printer not listed and try to add a new local printer, if I select Microsoft as the printer, the option of Print to PDF is not listed. In other words, the driver for Microsoft Print
    to PDF is not listed as an option    . Any help on how to reinstall/repair this?
