Windows 10: After latest Update, Windows 10 Pro will not restart?

I just today, August 31, 2020, installed an update to Windows 10 Pro. When it restarted, all that happened was a black screen with a flashing white cursor in the upper left of the screen. Panicked, I inserted my Windows 10 System Repair Disk that I created when I updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10. It restarted and asked me to select keyboard layout, which I did, then option to continue to Windows 10, which I did, and I let it restart. It seemed to restart normally. Then another update popped up and asked me to allow a restart which I did and after it installed, the very same thing happened again. Now I am afraid to turn my PC off. Can someone please tell me what to do?

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.

 

PC restarts when playing GTA 5 and DotA 2 after Windows 10 Anniversary Update

Before I did a clean install of Windows, I updated Windows 10 to the latest patch with the Cumulative Updates with the Malicious Removal and etc, ran Unigine and I was in the middle of the benchmark (50%) and it restarted.

Just now, I finished my Windows 10 clean install and ran the Unigine again and it ran 75% and it restarted.

So, PSU issue?

 

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
