Windows 10: After latest windows 11 update, i can not see my D: partition drives anymore.

I can see Drive C: but not D:. I will mention they were not multiple hard drives: it is the same hdd, but had partitions created. I actually saw that drive D: is missing when i wanted to acces some files.I am not really interested to get my partition back as long as i can find my files. Does anyone have a suggestion? Or any idea why i can not see my D: drive ?Kind regards, Maria

W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

- press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
- diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
- list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
- select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
- clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
- create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
- exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
- click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that

 

D drive

can anyone explain why my d drive has 759 GB

and my c drive 239 GB

is there any logical reason for this type of partitioning?

i back up to G drive - external drive.

What can i do with D drive, how can i utilize this 759 GB of space?
