Windows 10: After latest Windows update my Sound is just.. gone I've tried EVERYTHING and..nope.

Hello all, The recent 1/13/2024 update for windows 22H2 ruined my PC. Turned off my Audio so bad i cant figure out whats wrong... its driving me crazy.First, i turned it on, on 1/14/2024, sound was gone an X over the speaker icon and my iCUE soft wear stopped being able to communicate with it's Corsair lighting node core NOT the controller, just the node. So I went about researching how to fresh install iCUE, thinking that was the problem. Found out, I can't uninstall it... the uninstall feature is greyed out and so is the repair feature. Thus is set about a 4 hour long mission in order

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

 

I got no sound microsoft or horrible sound

• Are you getting any error message?
• Have you installed all the pending Windows updates?

Sound gone after Windows 10 upgrade

This issue might be due to corrupted/ outdated drivers after upgrading to Windows 10.

Let us try the below troubleshooting steps to access the sound from speakers from your device and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to run
Hardware and Devices troubleshooter as it checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
  
• Click Next to run the Hardware and Device
  Troubleshooter.

Method 2: As updating the drivers couldn't resolve the issue, I suggest you to uninstall the existing Audio drivers, download the latest drivers for your device and check if it helps.

Step 1: Uninstall the Audio driver.

• Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand Audio inputs and outputs, right click on the driver and click on
  Uninstall.

Step 2: I suggest you to manually install the latest audio drivers and check.
