  2. I just upgraded BIOS and Windows 11 activation went down and reactivation doesn't help

    Dear Burks Tedold,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

Thank you for reaching out regarding the recent activation issue you've encountered following the BIOS upgrade on your Windows 11 system.

It appears that the BIOS update has affected your Windows activation status, resulting in unsuccessful attempts to reactivate through the troubleshooter. The error message indicating that the digital license has already been used for reactivation, along with encountering error code 0xC004F050 when entering the activation key, suggests a disruption due to changes in your system's hardware configuration. Specifically, updates to the BIOS can alter the hardware identifier associated with Windows activation.

To address this, I recommend reaching out directly to the Windows activation team for specialized assistance. Here are the detailed steps to proceed:

    1. Visit the Microsoft Support website and sign in with your Microsoft account credentials.
    2. Describe the activation issue you're facing, then choose the appropriate category that best matches your situation.
    3. Click on the "Contact Support" button located at the bottom of the page to initiate contact with our online support team.

After MB bios update windows not activate and can't be reactivated

Does Windows 7 require reactivation if...

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think its going to ask you for a key. If anything it will ask you to reactivate, which you can do online, or at the worse- over the phone. Should be no issue.

I have changed MBs in the past (and been too lazy for a fresh install) and Windows Vista and 7 RC updated the drivers and did not even require reactivation.
