  1. after moving files from one external drive to another can not access them

i have an external drive that i am owner of and have full permission on all files and drive. the drive is also setup to be shared. i have no problem accessing the files on the drive. the drive is close to being full. the drive is formated in exFAT. i guess i forgot to change format to NTFS. i bought a larger external drive and formated it as NTFS. i tried to backup the full drive and store it on the new drive but any attempt has failed. so i tried to copy the files from one drive to the other. they appear to copy, but when i try to access them on the new drive i get the "windows can not access

    :)

    Hi John,

We suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps below:

    • Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
    • Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.
The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.

    Hi Michael,

To better assist you with your concern, I would like to ask if you're getting any error messages when accessing your external drives? If yes, can you provide us with the exact error message?

    • Right click on your USB, and then click on Update Driver Software.
    • Once done, check if you can access your external drives.
