Windows 10: After new drivers installation on Windows 10 Lost hardware for sound Intel high definition...

This happen on 10 Oct 2018, installing new drivers throught windows update for Intel high definition Audio.

Event in system is :

I don't have the IDT High Definition Audio Codec Driver installed on my computer

If you want to have the high definition audio codec driver on your computer, we suggest updating your sound driver. Follow the steps below to update sound driver.

• On Start menu and type
  Device Manager and press enter.
• Click Sound, video, and game controllers.
• Right-click IDT High definition audio codec and
  Update driver.
• If there are no update available, reinstall the driver by clicking Uninstall.
• Restart the computer. Download the drivers from the manufacturer’s website and install it.

What is listed as the sound drivers? The generic Windows installed "High Defintion Audio" or the actual sound hardware driver (e.g. Realtek, Conexant, etc)?

If its the High Definition Audio, you need to try and find the correct sound hardware driver. Win 7 driver is not compatible but a Win 8.1 driver will be.
