Windows 10: after playing video or game my mouse and keyboard become unusable

Hi,
i run windows 10 pro os build 19041.508 and when i've watched a video does not matter if it is opened with 'video and tv' app or 'vlc' or switch from a game back to the desktop
my mouse becomes flakey...
not responding to mouse moves, suddely appearing somewhere else on screen or not reacting when clicked..
what I see in the event viewer around that time is


appmodel-runtime error 65 see below


the only way to get my mouse and keyboard working properly is to reboot my system...but that is becoming irritating.


I have turned off power save on usb hubs for my wireless mouse, tried different keyboards and mouse combinations, tried dism and other things on this page:

but it has not solved the issue of my mouse becoming unresponsive or my keyboard acting up.

I did not have this on former versions of win 10, alas I am too late to do a rollback.


Can this be solved and if so, how?
because i played a windowed video while writing this post and i really need to reboot again to answer this post, because my mouse is crippled again.

Unresponsive Mouse and Keyboard in Windows 10

Hi,

One reason why your mouse and keyboard is not working is because of an outdated driver. We suggest that you update the mouse and keyboard driver by following the steps below:

• Pres Windows+X key on your keyboard.
• Select Device Manager.

1. May I know, which video player you are using to play the video?
   
2. Are you able to play the video on any other computer?
   
3. Are you facing the issue with only specific video or with all the other videos?
   

This issue could also occur when the USB or SD card is corrupted when you have transferred the video.

Try the troubleshooting methods provided below to further narrow down the root cause of the issue.

Method 1: Try a different video player.

1. Try to use a different USB to transfer the video, if you are playing it on other computer or device.
   
2. I suggest you to try a different video player and check if it plays.
   
3. You can also check on different device or computer.
   

Step: Run Windows Media player troubleshooter.

1. Press Windows + R key on your keyboard together.
2. Copy and paste the below command and run each at a time and follow the onscreen instruction on the troubleshooter
3. msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerConfigurationDiagnostic
4. msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerLibraryDiagnostic
5. msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerDVDDiagnostic
6. Reboot the computer and check.
