Windows 10: after putting computer to sleep found a program had been activated & running 13 hours while...

I put my computer to sleep roughly 13 hours ago. When I woke it up a program/website was running for roughly 7 hours. I had shut it down before I initiated sleep mode. Any problem(s) putting these programs to sleep?

My Avast Internet Security program is suggesting that the following programs (see image below) are slowing down my computer. AIS wants to put them to sleep, but I have no idea whether or not doing this will cause problems???

Why does my computer running Windows 10 of late wake up and run for hours after I put it into Sleep mode? When I select Sleep and the computer goes into Sleep mode, I expect it to stay there! I do not want my computer running for hours when I do not need it running, in particular because of the hard drives. Also, it boots again which adds a little more wear and teat to the HD's over time. It's like Microsoft does not allow the owner of a computer running Windows to have full control of their computer.

I have had this problem before on one or more Windows computers. I have not recently installed any new software or hardware, except Windows Updates. Here is a link to today's listings in Event Viewer, that may help possibly:

Power Options - for programs to run for few hours while I am not working actively on the computer.

I have programs which need to run for few hours while I am not working actively on the computer. How can I configure power options that the computer goes to sleep only after the program completes (but doesn't shutdown)? I don't want to disable sleep mode/hybernation that the PC can go to sleep/hybernation after the processing is complete.
