  1. After reboot my Win10 laptop shows an unaccessible Network share: Critical_10.0.19041.1371 etc.

I reloaded my VPN software yesterday. My system specs are:When I rebooted and opened File Explorer to open a document from my home shared network drive, I clicked Network, and then clicked my laptop's name, MICHAEL-HP17, and it shows two network folder shares:1. Network > MICHAEL-HP17 > Users should be the only share2. Critical_10.0.19041.1371__e5cb5417e0db8386a01ad51dc853893d7e3aff76_00000000_I have no idea what the "Critical" share is, where it came from or why it suddenly appeared on a Win10 laptop I've had for 5 years. I have admin rights on my laptop and when I click it to open

  2. Laptop won't show list of available networks

We suggest checking the list of available Wi-Fi networks on your laptop.

    Please follow these steps:

    • Click the Windows logo.
    • Go to Settings (gear icon).
    • Select Network and Internet.
    • Then Wi-Fi.
    • Make sure the Wi-Fi radio button is On.
    • Select Show available networks, then you'll be able to see the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

Can't See Shared Win10 Machine/Seeker in workgroup but shows in domain

I have scoured the Networking and Sharing portion of this Win 10 Forum for an answer to my issue but have not found anything that works.

We have a peer to peer network, with one Win 10 machine (acting as server - which we call server) which shares several hard drives for everyone in the office to access. It has network discovery on, file and printer sharing on, turn off password protected sharing off. It has all the drives named and shared properly so everyone has full access. All the other Win 7, and Win 8 machines have complete access as designed. Another Win 10 machine has complete access as designed. All machines are part of the same workgroup Engineer. My machine is a Lenovo laptop which was upgraded from Win 8 to Win 10. When I try to access the Win 10 machine (which is acting as server), I get the Enter Network credentials pop-up asking for Username and Password which we do not use nor have ever set up on the Win 10 machine or any other. I know that there are several posts that have the Enter Network credentials popping up, but the difference is that their screenshot showed them as part of a workgroup. See the following:

After reboot my Win10 laptop shows an unaccessible Network share: Critical_10.0.19041.1371 etc. [IMG]

When I get the same pop-up on my Lenovo Laptop It looks like the following:

After reboot my Win10 laptop shows an unaccessible Network share: Critical_10.0.19041.1371 etc. [IMG]

    My System Properties information:

After reboot my Win10 laptop shows an unaccessible Network share: Critical_10.0.19041.1371 etc. [IMG]

Notice that the example above which is part of the workgroup has no reference to a domain. My pop-up on the Laptop shows reference to a domain, and whats interesting is that the domain is the computer name of the laptop itself. There are no domains set up on any machine of our peer to peer network. I think what needs to be done is the Laptop needs to be convinced it is not part of a domain but part of a workgroup called Engineer, and that might be one step in solving the problem. I wouldn't doubt that after solving that issue that a lot of the others listed in other threads will rear their ugly heads afterwords, but who knows, knowing how to resolve that might solve all my problems. Any ideas community?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Network share not working properly using W 10

    Hi Rudi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to follow the methods and check if it helps:

Method 1: I suggest you to run home group troubleshooter as below and check if it helps.

    • Type troubleshooting in the search area on the taskbar and select
      Troubleshooting
      .
    • Select View all on the top left corner.
    • Click Home Group.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Also try the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Turn off media sharing via Window Media Player on all the machines that show

up in Network as a Media Sharing Device.
    • Tools -> Options -> Library tab -> Configure Sharing... button
    • Uncheck "Share my media to:”
    • Uncheck "Find media that others are sharing" doesn't seem to do it, maybe

      require a reboot.

Hope this information was helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist.
