    win11DELLbitlockerbitlockerI used traslation software:I am using Windows 11 Home Edition. After replacing the SSD in my Dell laptop, I used a hard drive enclosure to read the old SSD and transfer files. However, I found that the old SSD is locked by BitLocker and I need to frequently enter the key to unlock each partition. How can I permanently remove the BitLocker lock on my old SSD?

    NEW COMPUTER-NEED ACCESS TO EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES- LOCKED

    I have a new Windows 11 computer. Upon signing in I noticed that my external hard drives were locked out via Bitlocker. If I have the Key ID, can I access the external hard drives and unlock them so I can access the data in the external hard drives? Does Bitlocker have to be "on" in order to unlock? I could use a step by step instructions on how to unlock the external hard drives. I have tried to follow the instructions using some videos on youtube, but have had no success. Thank you for your assistance.

    BitLocker has locked a hard drive from an old PC by itself

    A few other ago I managed to salvage an old hard drive from a PC (Win 11) that was flood damaged. I plugged it into the new PC (also 11 OS), and it worked fine for weeks. Today, when I booted the PC up, BitLocker has locked the drive without any reason.

    I didn't even know what BitLocker was until it locked me out of the drive.

    I fear that there may be no way to recover the drive, any advice would be hugely appreciated!

    new system old hard drive...

    I have an old hard drive that has those old ribbon connections to transfer data to the mother board.

    I have a new computer that mostly uses those cool little ATA (I think that is what they are called) connections.

    The new computer has a Vista OS.

    I opened up the case and I was supprised to see on the motherboard a wide ribbon connection and so I connected the old hard drive and a free power connection.

    When I turned on the computer, the system started up like usual and did not notice the new hard drive.

    I went to the Control Pannel and did an automatic add hard drive call and it did not find the old hard drive.

    Any suggestions?
