    After restart audio, internet and pin all gone


    This issue has occurred on my laptop and desktop about 5-10 times over the past two years and is super frustrating. Basically after I restart my computer the internet icon turns into a globe and audio doesnt work. Internet adapters and any external audio devices (speakers, headphones etc) also don't work when plugged in (the computer just ignores it, however keyboards and mice work). The only way I know to fix this issue is to reinstall windows via a usb. I haven't lost any important files yet but this is super frustrating as I have to reinstall all the apps I need. If it helps, the issue arose ever since I installed riot vanguard on my machine. Any help on how to prevent/resolve the issue without reinstalling windows is much appreciated.

    Hi Kevin,

    To resolve your concern about creating pin to your computer, we suggest that you follow these steps:

    • Navigate to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC (click to get permission when prompted).
    • Delete the contents of that folder (delete everything in that folder, but leave that folder and everything above it).
    • Go back to settings, accounts, sign in options.
    • Your non-working pin will now be gone, and you can just click 'add a pin' and set it again.

    Windows Audio doesnt work, everytime a restart is required to bring back the audio

    Hi Anthony,

    Thanks for providing suggestions. I have tried all the listed troubleshooting before I raise an question over here.

    None of the things helped....in few steps it makes Audio work(Only because of the Restart that is made) again if I shutdown my system and start back after couple of minutes/hours audio doesn't work.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
