Windows 10: After restart, Windows 11 keeps booting into BIOS

Hi, I've been on Windows 11 for a few weeks now. I have ASUS bios version 3602 x64.Last night, my PC restarted due to some Windows update, but in the morning it was in BIOS. Exiting BIOS or saving just boots it back into BIOS. I tried this at least 10 times. At this point, CSM was disabled and Secure Boot was on Other OS. No boot devices were in the list under Boot Option Priorities or Boot Override.I tried turning on CSM. The m2 ssd I have my OS on showed up. When I clicked it, I got a black screen saying "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and p

MBR keeps corrupting after restart

I have a machine that when restarted or allowed to go into hibernation, I receive a missing/corrupted master boot record message and Windows doesn't boot. I am able to successfully repair the MBR each time using Windows recovery console, but I'm unable to determine what keeps making it happen.

Dell Latitude E6420
Windows 7 64bit

Steps performed so far: -besides fixing the MBR after each restart or hibernation
-ran system file checker sfc /scannow
-ran chkdsk
-verified that ACHI was enabled in the bios

If I can't figure this out I will end up just reinstalling the operating system, but I worried that the issue with just reoccur later down the line. Any advice/recommendations would be much appreciated.

As the issue still persist, I would suggest you to download the media creation tool to install Windows 10 and create a Windows 10 installation media via thumb drive and try repairing your computer.

In order for us to boot from the thumb drive, we need to change the boot order from the BIOS.

Please follow the steps listed below:

• Restart your computer and press DEL to enter setup or F8 to access BIOS.
• Once you’re in the BIOS, look for “Boot” option menu. Use the arrow keys to navigate through BIOS and then press enter to select.
• Locate the boot order screen that lists boot devices.
• Select an option and press Enter to change it, either to disable it or specify another boot device.
• Select “Save Changes and Exit” option when you’re done.

After selecting USB as boot device, connect the thumb drive to your computer then restart it.

Windows setup start. Follow the instructions to install Windows.



Just to set your expectations that installing new Windows will delete all the applications installed on your computer, but you will have an option to keep all your files.
