Windows 10: After scam call Win 10 Home will not start!!

Hi everyone, Wonder if anyone can help, please? I'm trying to start up a Win 10 Home [was S] Acer laptop for some friends after they were scammed by a fake 'fix-it' call. Start screen keeps asking for a password - device was set up without a password, so no help there - and I cannot get in to do anything with it. We've agreed that as it's new, it can have a clean install but, as the Win 10 O/S was pre-installed, there's no media available to boot from.I've tried using their MS account on my dektop but it will not accept me using their account!!Tearing hair out stage reached, so can anyone
