Windows 10: after selecting Normal Startup in MSconfig PC boot failed with 0xc000000e and missing...

I just wanted to try Normal Startup and had no idea a Blue screen was waiting for me...My windows version I think is 21H2.I have got as far as a command prompt from the repair option with the repair media.bootrec /fixmbr is successfulbootrec /fixboot gives access deniedI have tried to follow many posts but none seem to match my situation. And one seemed to indicate the boot rec command was possibly not accessing the local SSD but the boot media.Any ideas please?

I understand you are not able to boot to in normal mode. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

Did you follow the below steps to enable the Normal startup?

• Press Windows + R keys from the Keyboard.
• Type msconfig and hit Enter.
• Click on the General tab.
• Select the Normal startup option.
• Click on Apply and Ok.
• Restart the system and check.

If yes, you may follow the below steps to check if the computer boots to selective startup:

• Press Windows + R keys from the Keyboard.
• Type msconfig and hit Enter.
• Select the General tab.
• Select the Selective startup option, check the box for load startup services, load startup items, use original boot configuration will be enabled.
• Restart the computer.

If it boots successfully to selective startup then you can boot to normal startup from selective startup.

Please check the above scenario and get back with the results.

what's the problem switching selective to normal startup?

see right here, before I selected normal startup, it was on selective startup.
When I changed to normal startup I got the bsod 0xc000000e winload.exe error, and no boot.

Had to load the RE off flash and run commands to fixmbr and rebuildbcd.
Is it just my PC like that?
I just looked at another of my pc, and it is also on selective startup. If I switch to normal will it crash the boot?

How about if i return from normal to selective startup on the PC I had to repair the boot, will it again crash?

 

MSCONFIG defaults to selective startup

This is a new computer. Has updated since installation. MSCONFIG can't stay set at "normal" startup. Continually defaults to "selective". Have tried suggested Microsoft fix. Does not work. Any suggestions?
