Hello!So, a few years ago, I got a lenovo laptop Yoga 9 14ITL5 and, due to a class I had at the time, I was required to partition part of its memory off into linux to dual boot it. Its never been the same since, even after I undid the dual boot.I have frequent issues where my laptop will randomly freeze up- ironically, it happens most often when I'm just browsing the web. It usually doesn't BSOD, but when it does, I get the "CLOCK WATCHDOG TIMEOUT" error code. When it freezes without BSOD, it instead just stops everything- no mouse, no keyboard, nothing. Blue screen of death errors and freezes

I have a Lenovo Z51 with an AMD Radeon R9 M375 graphics card.

A few days ago, my computer randomly had a blue screen of death error and crashed. It then crashed repeatedly for 2 days, which BSoD errors like THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER and VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE.

I ran a sfc /scannow and got no errors. I ran a system restore, and the blue screen of death errors are much less frequent. Now the computer freezes for a few seconds on startup, then it freezes again when I open a web browser (either for a few seconds or
until I force shutdown the computer, depending on luck). Occasionally, I get the VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE BSoD. (All video TDR failure errors blamed atikmpag.sys).

I booted my computer into Safe Mode, uninstalled all the graphics and audio drivers, and reinstalled them. Didn't fix anything.

List of (some) drivers reinstalled: AMD Radeon R9 M375, Intel HD Graphics 5500, Generic PnP Monitor

My event viewer occasionally prints this warning "Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered". I believe that this happens whenever it freezes, but I'm not entirely sure

Reliable ways to trigger the freeze

- Shortly after the Desktop has loaded after boot, for a few seconds

- Opening a web browser, few seconds to total lockup

- Opening an online video game (guaranteed lockup)

- Playing a Youtube video (no freeze initially, but eventually total freezes)

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

Windows 11 randomly freezes and blue screen of death!

Hello Dave, thank you very much, the problem with the blue screen of death seems to have stopped. Like you said, the problem seemed to be the Razer applications. I uninstalled all of them and until now no more blue screens.

What still is happening is that the PC is freezing. It usually happens a few seconds or withing a few minutes of starting the computer or taking it off sleep. The mouse and screen freezes, I cant do anything apart from hard restarting the PC. Do you have any solutions or diagnostics to help solve this? Help would be greatly appreciated.
