Windows 10: After shut down, battery usage shows apps still running

I shut my laptop down at around 9:00PM last night. But when I checked my battery usage today, it said that at 10PM there were still apps running. Is there an explanation for this? I checked with my family members, and they said they didn't touch my laptop.

Going back to Windows 10. To locate this features, follow these steps:

• To view Battery info, Go to Settings > System > Battery> Battery usage by app > All apps.
• For Data Usage, this is now on separate category. From Settings > Network & wireless, under
  Network & wireless you can find Data usage, WiFi etc, and tapping one of these will show current status.

Toshiba Laptop Not Holding Battery Charge

Hello Bart, Do you turn off/shut down the PC is put it to sleep when not using it? I would suggest shutting it down if you are not going to use it for many hours and see if that improves the problem. Try Generate Battery Usage Report in Windows 10 and see what it shows about the battery capacity, etc. Third party replacement batteries are usually inferior quality compared to the OEM batteries.

 

Battery problem after Windows 10 Creators Update Installed

Thank you for the update. Have you tried checking which app are draining your battery? To do so, follow the steps below:

• Go to the Settings.
• Now, go to System > Battery
• And go to Battery usage by app.

If issue persists, we suggest rolling back to the previous build before the issue happened.
