Windows 10: After shutting down PC overnight and turning on in morning cannot log in (restart fixes)

So I had this issue once or twice before but it's becoming more common. I would shutdown my pc at night, turn on in the morning(no fast boot/using NVME SSD) and I would type my password in but couldn't press enter and log in, it would just highlight my password. So I removed my password and this morning it took awhile for it to log in but then no icons were showing on my desktop, then everything finally loaded after awhile. I did do a sfc /scannow command prompt and everything was fine. Restarting the PC when this happens solves these problem. At this point should I just do a clean install of windows, or is there anything else I can do?

Windows 10 updates shut down pc, not restart.

To update this case, these steps did not fix the issue. With no loss of power or active shutdown attempts, etc, my PC was shut down this morning.

I plug my other devices into my pc to sync / charge overnight, and when my PC shuts down, this cannot occur.

I would appreciate other ideas. Thanks!

 

PC restarts overnight

Hey guys,

I have this problem with my PC being restarted when I wake up in the morning... and I have no idea what is wrong with it.. The most recent changes I did to my PC was when I optimized my PC using the 'Windows XP Optimization Guide' stickied on this forum... I didn't make any changes to my registry though.. Anybody care to help?

 

Random shut down and restart??

Computer: Intel (R) Pentium (R) Dual cpu
E220@2.406hz
2.42 GHZ, 2.00 GB of RAM
Windows xp

Ever since I replaced the fan (with heat sink) the computer has randomly shut down and then restarted, at first during streaming, and now, will shut down and restart anytime. I tried to replace the graphics card to no avail. *Confused *Mad

One suggestion was to replace the RAM.

Any suggestions on how to repair my computer?
