Windows 10: After shutting of mains switch on power supply whilst Windows 10 install was showing all...

So the issue is wanted to install Windows on my old PC to use it as an office PC, but because my drive that I wanted to install windows onto was not NTFS, I just turned off the power switch on the PSU. After i had formatted the HDD as NTFS and started the old computer it wouldn't initialize the Bios Fans would just spin at half speed instead of the speed they where set in the Bios and no video signal. It must be that the Bios is corrupted or the Motherboard is fried, even though the PC is only 2 Years old. Does anyone have an answer?

Shut Down & Hibernate Require Hard-Restart (power supply reset)

Since the last Windows Update three days ago, restarting from Shut Down and waking up from Hibernate have been problematic. When shutting down or going into Hibernate the computer completely shuts down. The power switch I normally use is not illuminated and has no effect. I must toggle the power switch on the power supply, then the front power switch illuminates (yellow-orange instead of the normal white) and can be used to restart the computer.

Current Windows 10 Home Version: 10.0.17763 Build 17763

Make and Model: Dell Studio XPS 435T/9000

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
1. Changed advanced power settings: Device Manager: All USB Root Hubs: Power Management: Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.”
2.System Restore to the previous configuration. (After testing, I returned to the latest version as indicated above.)
3. Changed “Fast startup” setting
4. Disabling and Reenabling Hibernate using cmd (powercfg -h off)
5.Power Troubleshooter
6.System Config: Boot: Safe Boot: the problem exists in Safe Mode.

Since this issue occurs every time you connect or disconnect the computer to the power supply, we suggest you run the Power troubleshooter. To do this, follow the steps below:

• On the Start menu, type Troubleshooting.
  
• On the left-side, click View all.
  
• Select Power and run the troubleshooter.

If the issue persists, then probably the issue is with a faulty driver. Kindly installed the latest chipset driver for your computer. For better assistance on installing the right driver, we suggest you to contact your PC manufacturer.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
