  1. After System 2004 Update, the System boots up extremely slowly...from 20 seconds to 2 minutes.

    Dear Microsoft,

I have been in IT for over 30 years and started with Dos 3.3 and have had every OS afterwards. The Update 2004 has slowed my bootup time

to a crawl when i updated on June 26th, 2020. I still have not found a reason why as many other users and would like to know what you guys did.

This is most frustrating to say the least. The system will eventually boot up and run.

Here are my specs to help you figure it out:

    1. MSI MB x570 gaming that is only 6 month old. all bios settings are normal and nothing changed

    2. AMD 3700x cpu not overclocked

    3. 16 gigs of ram G.skill and nothng touched in bios

    4. AMD RX 580 Graphics card nothing OC

    5. Drives... SSD m.2 970 250gb, SSD 860 500gb. 4 HDD 2tb each, DVD burner bootup is the 970 m.2...more then fast enough

Nothing else and NOTHING has changed in months.

So, something has changed in the update like many many many other users in the 2004 update that is killing the bootup time. By the way,

I have also done all of the so called fixes and scans and defrags and everything else so far and nothing works.

    Steve

    :)

Windows 10 boots up extremely slowly

Since quite some time I experience that Windows 10 boots up extremely slowly (~5 minutes?). By "booting" I only count in the time between the end of UEFI initialization and Windows 10 Login screen. When I log into the OS, everything starts up
    within a couple seconds.

I doubt my hardware is the cause as my computer consists of the following:

    • i7-8700K
    • GTX 970
    • 16Gb @ 3466Mhz RAM
    • installed solo onto an SSD

I have Debian installed on another SSD of the same model and it takes 3 seconds to boot up. The SSD that Windows is installed on is working fine and, as aforementioned, once I'm logged in I don't experience any performance issues. It's exclusively the boot-up that is affected.
Unplugging peripherals doesn't seem to help. Fast start-up etc. is disabled.

  3. Laptop boots up extremely slowly after upgrading to windows 10

Ever since I upgraded to windows 10 many months back (from windows 8.1), my laptop boots up very slowly. I thought that subsequent updates might help, bt they didn't. It takes minimum 15-20 minutes to boot up. Now, if there is a way to fix this, I would
like to get your help, and if not, then please help me in rolling back to windows 8.1.
