  1. After the device goes to sleep "No networks found" when turned back on?

I've been using my ASUS ROG Strix G17 Gaming Notebook, 17.3" FHD, AMD Ryzen 7 4800H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 16GB, 1TB SSD, Win11 Home for about a month now and have had a few issues which I have been able to fix, but this new one has popped up over the last few days. When the device goes to sleep, it disables wifi. When I turn it back on, it still claims that there are no networks despite the fact I know there is. When I restart it it goes back to normal. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    :)

  2. Mobile hotspot while pc is sleeping

    Hi Nathan,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand your concern. When computer goes to sleep mode which in turn disables necessary services which is why hotspot disconnects. However, we would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned and check if it works.

    1. Open Device Manager by searching for it in search bar.
    2. Expand Network adapters and right click on
      Wireless Network Adapter.
    3. Select Properties and go to
      Power Management
      tab.
    4. Uncheck the box next to Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

    Regards.

  3. Guide: Turn your Killer E2200 NIC into Qualcomm Atheros AR8161

Basically I right click on the Killer Network Adapter in Device manager > Uninstall > Check the box to DELETE driver for this device

Then you won't have a relevant network adapter listed. So you have to add a new device, and I just followed the instructions listed in this thread... does that help?

After the device goes to sleep "No networks found" when turned back on?

    What is this network device?

I woke my desktop PC from sleep this morning, clicked on Network and immediately spotted a Phone in the device list that doesn't belong to anyone here (a Blu brand phone which is unusual enough that I would know about it).

I clicked on the device and was able to view the MAC address, but nothing else useful. A couple minutes later it disappeared from the network list.

Then a few minutes later I went and looked at another PC on the same home network and saw the same phone in its Network list. It also disappeared a couple minutes after I clicked open 'Network'.

Scanned both PCs with various anti-malware programs including Malwarebytes - they look clean.

Any suggestions on what I was seeing, and if it's malicious how to deal with it?

UPDATE: It popped back up again. I checked my router's connection list and don't see it there. For now I blocked the MAC address in my router but would still like to know where this is coming from.
