This is unacceptable I never want that covered I hate auto hide and I can't figure out how to turn this off. I always want to see the task bar no matter what. How do I fix this it's driving me crazy. Its worse than auto hide as it doesn't come up till I take the application out of full screen.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Taskbar sometimes on top of full-screen applications

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to change the Screen Resolution and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

    • Press ‘Windows ’ key on the keyboard.
    • In the search box, type Settings
    • SelectSystem > Display > Advanced display settings.
    • Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked
      "(Recommended)”.
Also try locking and then unlocking the Taskbar and check if this helps. Follow the steps below:

    • Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.
    • If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked.
    • If it does not have a check mark, click Lock the Taskbar.
Hope this information was helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist.

taskbar is in the background of windowed applications

Suddenly out of the blue my windows taskbar is kept in the background of inactive windowed applications. The applications involved are not full screen and neither maximized but just open in window. No update, except daily windows defender databases, have been recently installed on the system.

Earlier such open windows were visible behind slightly transparent taskbar, but now they are on top of it instead. Being behind an active window but still on top of the taskbar those opened applications are just covering the taskbar where much more options are available.

What should i do to restore the usability of the taskbar?

Multi-screen launch application on active screen taskbar

    Hello Sachin,

I will try to explain you what I'm facing by an example:

Session 1: condition is with both screens are ON

    • start pc
    • Go to taskbar on main screen (screen n°2 on the screenshot) and open calculator
    • calculator go "by default" on main screen
    • I move calculator to second screen (screen 1 on the screenshot)
    • I close calculator
    • Go to taskbar on main screen and open calculator
Calculator will be on second screen (last position in fact)

I would like at this stage that action :If I'm using configuration with taskbar replication (cfr screenshot), then open calculator on last position on screen where I used taskbar, in this case it's main screen and not on second

    • shutdown PC
Session 2: condition is with main screen ON and second OFF executed after session1

    • start pc
    • Go to taskbar on main screen (screen n°2 on the screenshot) and open calculator
    • calculator go now on second screen which is OFF. I don't see calculator. I have to use shortcut to snap to main screen
This session 2 is more related to a device detection issue (Speccy, Nvidia configuration or windows state give active ...). I didn't find until now a way to detect as OFF except removing hdmi cable

To answer your question, I don't trying to open multiple apps. I want to change default behavior which is apparently : Use last position and last screen of the application" by Use last position and screen where taskbar called the application if you select
configuration to have taskbar on all screens"

    Thank you

    Rudy
