After the last Windows 11 update, I can no longer use a PIN or fingerprint to access my computer. Before the update both were working normally. When will Microsoft fix this problem.

As you have mentioned that after installing latest update for Windows 10 pin and fingerprint recognition no longer functioning, I suggest you to let us know the details of that update after which you started experiencing this issue.

Follow these steps to open the “view update history” screen:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Windows Update.
  

You will find “view update history” option in the left panel.

PIN and Fingerprint login options not working after windows 10 creator's update (version 1709 & OS build 16299.248)

After Creator"s update I cannot login with PIN and fingerprint(windows Hello), it seems like they are lost. I used to have a pin before, but it disappeared after it updated. If I click on "add", nothing happens. I also
cannot "remove" the previous pin, as the button is not there. My fingerprint was also lost after the update and when I try to setup new fingerprint, it asks me to create a new pin but I cannot create a PIN.

I've tried using the following step

• Open File Explorer and browser to this location:

C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC

• Delete everything within that folder. You must be logged in as the Administrator to do this.
• Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options.
• Click Add a PIN again and set your PIN.
• PIN sign in should work moving forward.

NFC folder seems like a shortcut folder, and i cannot enter into the folder.

And I have also tried using SFC method,



I just want to get back my PIN and Fingerprint login. And i also cannot go back to previous version of windows

I've tried resetting my PC but that doesn't help.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

After Window Update, Windows 11 doesn't recognize my PIN and Fingerprints.

Just after I reset my Lenovo Laptop as suggested by Autoupdate, I cannot log in to Windows 11. It says that Windows 11 does not recognize my PIN. Alternative login using fingerprints also fail. When I try to reset my PIN, it is said that Windows 11 does not have utility to do so and ask permission to download it from Microsoft site. When I give the permission nothing happens. I'm stuck in the login page.

Please help, I have tones of data/files in there to work with.
