Windows 10: After tough update I cannot log in into my MS Account, X-box, MS Store, that Windows phone app.

Hello.About a week ago an update broke my Windows 11 and I needed to reinstall it from my system drive. After that, whenever I try to login into Edge, MS Store, X-Box I'm getting 0x8007000e error. It's the same network as before. I could use all services before, too. I don't really know what updates it was/were, but I think one of them was that 23H2 big update from, I think October 2023. I delayed it, because I was getting errors whenever I tried to install it it couldn't install itself and rolled back to state from before, every time. It finally got installed, kinda successfully, but no

Sign into a Windows account (local or MS) AND be able to download apps from the store?

I will gladly elaborate.

My nieces frequently use my mother’s computer and would typically just sign into a guest account with older versions of Windows. Since it was a local account, they didn’t need a password.

We’ve since upgraded to Windows 10 and they’ve expressed an interest in the apps from the Microsoft store.

I’d like to find some way to have them able to log into the computer without a password and still be able to allow them to download apps from the MS store.

The challenges I have had is that without an MS account, you can’t download apps. And if you log into the store with an MS account, it converts a local account to a MS account.

The only thing I could think of would be to find a way to store the Windows password for ONLY the one account, so that when you click on it, it just logs in (even though there is a password). But it doesn’t seem possible.

Suggestions?

Again, my ultimate goal is to have a windows account that I can log into without having to type in a password but still be able to download apps from the MS store.

Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately they did not work.

We used the Microsoft Account Troubleshooter and this showed no problems. I have previously tried using a local account and then switching back to the Microsoft Account. I tried again and the problem persists.

The scenario is as follows:

• My wife start the computer.
• She logs in to her Microsoft Account which is equivalent to L: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. using her MS Account password.
• She opens MS Store and tries to download an app.
• She is asked for the password to my L:
  *** Email address is removed for privacy *** account.
• She has now entered that password and is allowed to download.
• Restart the computer.
• Login to her Microsoft Account using her MS Account password.
• Open MS Store and try to download an app.
• Successfully download the app!
• Check the account details via the icon just by the search box.
• This shows that I am logged on with my
  L: *** Email address is removed for privacy *** account.
  
• Go to "See Account" and this shows my wife's name and
  L: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.
• Use that screen to go to the Store which again
  shows my wife's name and L:
  *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.
• Select an app from the lists.
• See the details of the app and check the account details and guess what! It shows me at
  my L: *** Email address is removed for privacy *** account.

I am sorry about the detail explanation but as you can see; something is wrong and I can/have spent hours going round in circles trying to resolve the issue.

Any help that you can give me would be very gratefully received - both by me and my wife!
