Windows 10: after up dating to 2004 windows i have no cortana saying not available in uk

having up dated to windows 2004 i now have no cortana flaged sayes not available in uk

Get Cortana to work in English (UK) for Windows 10

I upgraded to Windows 10, and Cortana doesn’t seem to be available based on the Start Menu:

but when I click the link, it takes me to this page:





which suggests it should be available in the UK, since I've checked

• my language settings are English (UK),
  
• I have the English (UK) language pack installed, and
  
• the speech settings are also set to English (UK).
  

I think this is everything, right?  It certainly ticks the boxes in the Microsoft help article.

How can I get Cortana up & running?

 

Cortana not available on lumia920 in the UK

Having finally got the Lumia Cyan update to Windows 8.1 Version 8.10.12393.890



Now if I change my settings (keyboard, language and region) to US, reboot the phone and Cortana is listed under Applications.



If I change it all back to English (keyboard and labguage) and UK (region), reboot my phone again, Cortana has disappeared from the list!



I've found online plenty of people who can't get Cortana, but they're in a Country where it isn't yet available. But I'm in the UK so should be able to, OR is this a known issue? Or is there something else I'm missing?



Any help would be most gratefully received.

 

Cortana not available in UK

I just upgraded to Windows 10, and after setting everything to English UK was unable to activate Cortana as it "isn't supported in the language and region" I selected. I installed the language pack for English UK, along with every other download for it
that Win 10 suggested and still no Cortana. Anyone able to help? (Running on a pretty powerful desktop, with a microphone and all that, upgraded from Win 7, in case any of that is relevant)
