Windows 10: After Update I can't get into Windows anymore (Stuck on Login)

On my Surface Pro I can't get into Windows anymore. I was copying some photos to an external HD and left the room and the screen turned off for energy saving purposes. After I came back and entered my PIN I was not able to get into Windows again. It stuck for several minutes on the login animation/blurry screen. After some time the device restarted itself and told me it will reroll a failed update, which I guess it started while I copied my files.

When I try to Login now it stucks for several minutes on the animation/blurry screen and then goes back to Login. When I try to power off the device it tells me for a period of about 15 minutes "update and restart" or "update and shutdown", but after that period I can just restart. So I guess while I cant login the update is automatically installed in the background. Entering the Recovery Settings and selecting any of the options will fail with an Error 80070013.

After the reboot the same procedure happens. Uninstalling failed Update -> Can't login into Windows(Installing Update automatically in the Background). So the Device is not usable at the moment.

Does anyone know this problem or is there a solution without factory resetting the device.

As far as I can remember the Windows version on the device was 1903.

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

Choice of memory and motherboard... a bit stuck...

No one who got some suggestions on this one, huh?

I've found out that the Asus M3A78-T needs to be flashed, so then that motherboard is excluded from my list. Which motherboard and memory should I then go for? Any suggestions?
