  1. After update KB4511555 and KB4475562 Task Manager prompts for password for normal users.

After update an update for KB4511555 and KB4475562 on Windows 10 Pro 1903 OS build 18362.295 over the pass few days I noticed that Task Manager puts out a UAC prompt for password when normal users try and start it. It will start if the user gives their password. This is the first time I have seen this behaviour; to date the only time I have seen this prompt when I open Task Manager using an administration userid. I have not changed my UAC settings recently, i.e. for over a year or two.

Does anyone know if this is a new feature or side effect of these updates, or should I look elsewhere?

    :)

  2. Task Manager prompt for elevated ID / password on Windows 10

    Hi Maria Fab,

Yep Logged in as local administrator where task manager works fine without elevated prompt,

Normal user without admin rights where this elevated prompt is appearing. On Windows 7 pro we dont found any Elevation prompt for accessing Task manager, only prompting on Windows 10 pro.

    Thanks & Regards,

  3. Task manager doesn't update resources on real time

    Hi,

It's possible that the Performance window in your Task Manager has been paused. For us to verify this, let's verify if it's really paused or set to a normal speed. Please follow the steps below:

    • Right-click on the task bar and click Task Manager.
    • In the Task Manager window, click the Performance tab.
    • At the top, click View.
    • Navigate to Update speed. If it's paused, then click
Normal. Your Performance tab should now be working.

We're looking forward to your feedback.

    Regards.
