Windows 10: after update ,suddendly the MIC needs to be ON for audio software to work,it wasn't this...

I have windows 10 and recently went from version 1903 to 1909 ,afterwards all of my software that uses audio would no longer work unless I turned the mic on ,how come ?

Why did this software work without having the mic on before ,now after the upgrade Microsoft is telling me I have to turn the mic on to make this software work ?

Front Panel Headphones and Mic not working.

Hey Everyone,

Mobo : ASUS M2N MX SE
Processor : AMD Athlon X2 5200+
OS : Windows XP Professional SP2 x86

My Rear panel Speakers and mic works all fine. I got a new set of headphones(with mic) when i connect it to the front panel they don't work. NO SOUND OUTPUT.

I updated the audio drivers. I tried a few many things but I still can't get them running.
My default Sound Manager is Realtek HD Audio Manager.

Please help me get my Front Panel working. A step-by-step guide would be better.

Suddenly my system won't use a mic

Any suggestions??

I have just tried enabling the HD realtek audio from the BIOS and tried using the mic from that instead of my sound card. Still it did'nt work. I tried using 2 different mics too and they both do not work.

So is this a software conflict or some driver or what??

This might occur when some of the mic setting got corrupted.

I would suggest you to try running Recording audio troubleshooter.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the Search area on the taskbar and select
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Select Recording Audio under
  Sound and follow the on screen.
