Windows 10: after updates or restart my icons in desktop keep on dissapearing. my data wipes out. what...

i have window 10. whenever i update or restart my device following changes occur: 1. the icons on my desktop disappear mostly 2. all my data from downloads, document, image gets removed. it goes all blank 3. my google account logs out 4. when all the data disappears they get stored in temp in user. how to solve this

Hi,

I think you are right clicking from the Start menu desktop and I suggest you to right click from the conventional desktop not the desktop you see when you press the Start menu. And perform the actions. You may aslo drag and drop the applications
as suggested, to do so,

• 
  Click on the Start menu.
  
• 
  Select All Apps.
  
• 
  Select the apps you want to in to the desktop and drag the icons to the desktop.

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.
