After updating Intel High Definition DSP my 3.5mm speakers no longer work.

I have a Lenovo T15g Gen 1 ThinkPad - Type 20UR, running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit. I used AVG Driver Updater. One of the drivers it said needed updating was Intel High Definition DSP. After it updated and I rebooted, the external speakers connected via a 3.5mm jack were no longer recognized – they were also gone from Device Manager. Also, in Device Manager, Intel High Definition DSP was shown with an error that no driver was installed for the device. Device Manager finds no update locally or via Windows update. The option to roll back the driver is grayed out in Device Manager. AVG Driver Updat

  2. error Intel High Definition DSP - No Audio Device installed.

Hi Folks I did my windows updates (windows 11) and since then, I have been getting the error Intel High Definition DSP - No Audio Device installed.

    Checked in the Device Manager

Under other devices is says Intel High Definition DSP (There is a Little Yellow triangle with an exclamation mark on it)

doubled clicked on it and it states:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There are no compatible drivers for this device.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

Tried to search for the Driver but it returned the following message: Windows was unable to install your Intel High Definition DSP

    Regards

  3. Missing Intel High Definition DSP

Recently, I opened my laptop, and was getting some type of error saying, "No Audio Output Device is Installed." After about two hours, I finally got an audio device working by downloading it off of a website. I restarted my laptop, and the audio wasn't working.
There's sound input, but it's not playing through the speakers on my device.

There is still one device missing, and when looking at it through properties it says it's part of the audio bus. After going through the driver for about an hour, I found a couple of device Id's, but Windows didn't have the driver download link, nor did
    any other website.

    >Intel High Definition DSP is giving a code 28 error. The only fix for this that I am aware of is to download the driver online, and install it. (When trying to simply update the driver, it isn't able to be found online, "Windows could not find drivers for
    your device.")

I own an Omen laptop running Windows 10 (64bit)

Intel High Definition DSP issue WIndows 11 HP Pavilion Gaming

Hi Sedes, my name is John D. an independent advisor happy to help you with this.

Based on the error code 28 in Device Manager, it appears that the drivers for your Intel High Definition DSP are missing. To fix this issue, you can try to reinstall the device driver manually by following the steps below:

    > From Start, search and select Device Manager.

    > Right-click the device in the list.

    > Select Uninstall from the dropdown menu.

    > After the device is uninstalled, choose Action on the menu bar.

    > Select Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver.

It's important to ensure that you have the latest driver installed from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). If this doesn't work, you can also try rolling back the driver or updating it. Another option is to run an audio and hardware troubleshooter.

I hope that these steps will help you to resolve the issue.

    Best regards,

    John D.
