After updating sound drivers my laptop lost sound input and sound output devices and there is yellow mark om Intel Smart Sound Technology OED. There is no sound now. How to solve this issue?

No sound input or output devices

Since updating WIndows I no longer have any sound input or output devices listed under device manager - sound video games controllers. Intel smart sound technology oed had yellow warning triangle.

What can I do to get the sound working on my laptop.

You can use an option in the tutorial below to change the default sound input device to be the microphone on the earphones.

As you have issues with sound on Windows 10, I suggest you to try the below and check.



Steps to update the drivers for audio.

• Press Windows+X and click on Device Manager.
• Expand Audio inputs and outputs, right click on the
  Realtek High Definition Audio and click on
  Update driver software.
