    Dull colour saturation

    I just bought this new computer because it has Windows 10.(Acer Aspire 3)

    The colour saturation on the windows supplied pics look great, but as soon as I go anywhere the picture looks dull like an old newspaper.

    What the heck?

    Dull screen needs help

    Bulldogxx I tried both ways suggested the article that offered step by step and neither system solved the dull colors, dull screen problem. All they did was rearrange my desktop. Any other suggestions?

    Sorry about the sassy rejoinder to your sassy remark, I think they are both funny now that I am old and don't take myself seriously.

    My monitor is a native 10bpc panel as well. I use HDMI on a long run though (the only thing HDMI is better at, because they actually have cert programs for long runs) so I'm stuck running it at 8bpc. My understanding is that nothing much uses anything above 8bpc except photoshop though, and even it uses it only in OpenGL buffers which my nvidia card at least doesn't output in 10bpc (only DirectX). So no real loss for me.

    Still, nice to future proof right?
