The computer is a Lenovo ThinkPad 12th-gen Core i7.Last week, I updated from Windows 11 22H2 to 23H2. This only started happening after that.Anytime I put the computer to sleep or hibernate, it wakes right back up on its own a few moments later.I made sure all hardware drivers were updated, but it still keeps happening.It happens even when nothing is plugged in no devices. I made sure my Bluetooth mouse is powered off, removed flash drives, etc.What is causing this and what can I do to fix it?I can't work with a laptop that doesn't go to sleep or hibernate when I'm done using it, and I esp

Keyboard stays asleep when computer wakes up

My USB keyboard stays asleep when Windows wakes up.

No lights.

No keystrokes passed to computer.

Searching was no use because all results interpreted this as the keyboard is unable to wake up the computer. This problem is the opposite.

Computer won't stay asleep due to countless culprits: an accidental swipe of the mouse, a scheduled system task, and any number of other weird settings that reside in Windows' power options. To fix the issue, you may disable the Ethernet adapter's so that system
may stay asleep. To do so, you may follow the steps below:

1. Open the Windows Device Manager.

2. Click the plus next to Network adapters, then find the Ethernet adapter for your system.

3. Right-click the adapter name and choose Properties.

4. Click the Power Management tab, then clear the checkbox next to Allow this device to wake the computer.

5. Click OK, then restart the computer.

S4 (hibernation) USB/network wake up

Hi,

I have this annoying problem. When my computer enters the S4 powerstate (hibernation) I can wake it up by just clicking with the mouse. Even when EuP is enabled the mouse can still wake up the computer. After a night of sleep I find the computer powered on. So not only can the mouse wake up the system, it also seems that network traffic can too.

I thought that hibernation was like power off but with the option to save the RAM to disk. At least before I always need to push the power button to boot after hibernation.

Any suggestions?
