Windows 10: After updating to Windows 11, none of my notifications work

Hello to all.When I had Windows 10, I allowed alerts from many websites. I would receive notifications every day. Sometimes I would come home and find I had 10 to 15 unseen notifications. Well, after finally updating to Windows 11, I just do not receive anything anymore. I have allowed alerts from websites when they offer them, I have right clicked on the lock to the left of the address bar in Edge and allowed a notification permission to the website I am on that particular moment, and I have even gone to settings and added the websites manually. Nothing works. And to make it even more s

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

 

Cannot get notifications to work

Hello,

Awhile back notifications suddenly stopped working, I can't remember if it was after an update.

Under Settings > System > Notification & actions. I have "Get notification from apps and other senders" enabled and have toggled the switch to on under the app list. Still nothing.

Bit of googling founda suggestion to run the SFC, while it did find and repair files, notifications still do not work.

Any ideas?

Follow these steps to check if it works:

Step 2: Click Notifications & Actions in the left-hand menu. This will take you to a screen providing access to all of the settings related to notifications and the Action Center.

Step 3: Click the System icon, then select Notifications and actions from the left-hand menu.

Step 4: Look for the Notifications subheading, where you will see a number of toggles for various types of notifications. The following is a list of the settings you can toggle on this screen:

• Get notifications from apps and other senders
• Show notifications on the lock screen
• Show alarms, reminders, and incoming VoIP calls on the lock screen
• Hide notifications when duplicating my screen
• Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows

You may just turn them off the notification as you need.
