Windows 10: after upgrade to windows 11 hp pavillion laptop display is unstable

My hp pavillion laptop worked perfectly fine running Windows 10. When I upgraded to Windows 11, the display became very unstable & flickers. I am using an external display such that I have 2 screens to work off of. The external display is very stable, no issues. However when I try to use the laptop screen, it goes black and as I move the mouse, it flashes on and off, making it nearly impossible to access the information and to click on buttons. Mostly it is black and as I move the mouse it occassionally "flashes" on and quickly disappears. If I do not have the external display connec

Hp Pavillion Notebook upgrades

Hi, i have a friend with a Hp notebook and is wondering if he should look into upgrading his laptop or buying a new one, i dont know much about laptop upgrading and cant seem to find anywhere to look for cpu compatibly and whatnot. The laptop is a couple years old. He does some light gaming if that info is necessary.

Specs:
Model: Hp Pavillion Dv7-1245dx
OS: Windows 7
Cpu: AMD Turion x2 Dual Core Mobile RM-72 ~ 2.1 GHz
Memory: 4GB, not sure what kind but he upgraded it so that shouldn't be a problem
VGA: ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics

Win10/HP Pavillion - PIN "unavailable"

Using Win10 on an HP Pavillion Gaming Laptop

PIN went away. Now when I go into create a PIN I get "Something went wrong. Try again later". The step prior is: Start.>Settings>Accounts>Sign in Options>Windows Hello PIN and it reads "This options is currently unavailable - click to learn more". I
followed the steps suggested, but they don't work

Suggestions?.

 

HP pavillion laptop not detecting 2nd monitor with Windows 11 pro

I purchased a new HP Pavillion laptop with Windows 11 Pro and a new Acer monitor to connect to laptop. Laptop isn't detecting 2nd monitor via HDMI. I would appreciate any help you could provide.
