Windows 10: After upgrade to Windows 11 I cannot access any of my USB Sticks.

I recently upgraded my desktop computers 2 to Windows 11. Since doing this I cannot use any of my Usb flash drives. It tells me they need formatting. There are items on the USB sticks with my work on them. I have four USB Sticks all with the same problem.. I have tried every YouTube fix but non work. Help.

Installing windows off of a USB stick

Step By Step from vista:
From admin cmd prompt

1. diskpart
1a. list disk
2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could help with any suggestions.

After upgrading to Windows 10 any usb stick shows up in file explorer but when I try to open it - it says drive not accessible / access denied.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Going MAD!!! USB Sticks

I have Windows 7 64bit but since my last upgrade to an SSD (with format & clean install of Win7 64bit) i am unable to access ANY of my usb sticks.

I don't know what to do anymore.

These will not install correctly:

Sandisk Cruzer Micro U3 8Gb
Kingston DataTraveler 2.0 1GB
Lacie USB HDD 320GB

My iPhone 3GS works fine.





Any Suggestions?
