    After Upgrading to windows 10

I have upgraded from windows 7 Ultimate to windows 10 pro. It all upgraded without problems & shows its activated. Now I want to make a ISO of the media so I can do a fresh install from scratch but I have a problem, I can't seem to find out what my new Product key is. I googled around & they suggest using a 3rd party key finder but to be honest I don't like using tools like that.

From reading pre release news & articles from microsoft & so on. We can download the ISO to install fresh but we need to upgrade first to enable to key. What key? I have tried to use my original Windows 7 key but it wont accept it so I presume on upgrading we are issued with a new unique product key for future installations of windows 10, but where & how do we obtain it?

    :)

My Nokia C3 is not supporting softwares

I have tried so many ways to download softwares, but to my efforts are all fruitless. When i go to other sites to download and install softwares, the place to download the software will not even be active and when i download from ovi store it is not supported.
What should i do to end this problem?

Upgrading hardware after upgrading to windows 10

There is no such thing as upgrading from AMD to Intel. You have to build a new computer. The computer processor is AMD and so is the motherboard. You might as well buy a new computer with Intel Inside.

    See this article--

BTW--switching hardware such as motherboard and cpu would require buying a new windows license.

You should be able to clean install and skip the step to enter a key and Windows will activate automatically.

So how will Microsoft know its me? What if I have 2 systems with identical hardware, how will MS know which is which?

Do I have to create a ISO from the system I want it to be installed on? Because I created a DVD ISO from the ms download link from my main system & I upgraded my laptop 8.1 to windows 10. How do I do a fresh install on the laptop as I tried using the 8.1 key but it wont accept. I wiped the HDD on the laptop so how can I do a fresh install without a product key linked to the laptop from where I originally upgraded & then wiped?

This all a bit confusing as I would of thought MS would of presented you with a key during the upgrade or activation process but nothing.

The same way they knew when 8 was reinstalled on the same hardware.

It makes no sense to me because I loaded the windows 10 DVD I got from the microsoft media creation tool & it wont let me beyond the enter key screen! The next button isn't highlighted!

    From Microsoft site Windows 10

If you will be installing the operating system for the first time, you will need your Windows product key (xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx).

I understood that the key is the original Win 7, 8 or 8.1 key

But I wouldn't be installing windows for the first time. I have already upgraded & now I want to install windows 10 on my new SSD for the laptop for which I waited for windows 10 to be released rather than installing my windows 7 pro to then upgrade & have to mess with conversion problems. I would rather install fresh & have everything from the start. So how can I do this if after upgrading from 7 to 10 & my original windows 7 key wont allow me to progress on a fresh install!

Because 10 won't accept a 7 key. It's been stated numerous times you clean install on the exact same hardware. Not a clean install after installing a new drive and trying to enter a product key for a different OS.

Ok, So what if I upgrade & then do a clean install & then later down the road my HDD dies on me. How to a re install my windows 10? It wouldn't have the same hardware so how would this happen because I don't want to find out I can't install windows 10 anymore because of a hardware failure!

  12. I was thinking that it would allow a hard drive replacement, i don't know what hardware Microsoft is looking at to determine if it has already been activated but not allowing hard drive swap outs would be a big flaw.

I could possibly put a new hard drive in a test machine at work to test this next week if i get chance, it will be good to know.
I have a test machine with windows 10 upgraded / activated so i would just need to throw a new hard drive in and do a clean install to test.

    After Upgrading to windows 10

Well I am in the process of testing this because I have a few window homes that are no longer in use as I moved to windows 8.1 on those systems so I am trying to find out the limits as we speak.

But, on my main systems as I have a few dedicated to certain tasks & they are all Windows 7 Ultimate retails. With those I can remove windows from a machine & install it on a entirely new machine. So if windows 10 won't allow me to do this, basically locking my windows 10 to a machine that might have failed or as most Desktop user's do, upgrade HDD, GPU, Motherboards & CPUs as time goes on. So I would love to know if any of this happens would it basically invalidate my windows 10 unless I re install it on the activation machine because if this is the case then that is a SERIOUS flaw in their thinking because Desktops & some laptops can have more than just the HDD upgraded or changed for better ones. I mean I've changed my motherboard twice this year because I just didn't like the one's I purchased & they are now sat in boxes for those just in case days lol.

    There are two scenarios:
    - You have original win 7 or Win 8. You CAN’T use your win 7 or Win 8 code to do a fresh install. You will have first to do an upgrade on your win 7 or Win 8 (run setup from inside Windows), MS will then verify if your win 7 or Win 8 is original, record your LAN MAC and activate. After this upgrade activation you can do a clean install using the same motherboard (LAN MAC). You just skip inserting the code during installation. To activate, MS won’t verify the Win 10 code, but if the LAN MAC has been used before during an update. Of course, if you have used same Windows 7 or 8 code in more than one computer, only the first one to activate will activate automatically.

    - You buy a Win 10 code. In this case you have to insert the Win 10 code you bought during installation. For what I read, I suppose MS will record the LAN MAC when you first activate, so it will activate automatically regardless when it was last activation, as long as it has the same LAN MAC, or in other words, same motherboard. Don’t know what is the procedure to activate if you change your motherboard (and the LAN code associated). Also don’t know if, with the same Windows copy and code, it is possible to install on more than one computer, using the telephone to activate.

I’m not planning to do the update right away, for obvious reasons. Many bugs to correct and there will be many, many problems and fixes on the next months ahead. The ideal is to wait the first service pack before installing a new OS.

Well I am already deterred by the fact it uses the LAN MAC code on my motherboard. I'm a hardware/software developer/engineer & I often change/upgrade my hardware & sell on my unwanted hardware. So from this I am guessing someone who buys a second hand motherboard could then just install windows 10 fresh & microsoft will activate.

I really dislike the notion of relying on physical attributes to identify authenticity & to activate. I think I will remain with the current windows I am using for any/all of my systems because this supposed Free upgrade is looking less & less Free by the day because its riddled with fine printed terms & conditions that cannot realistically be met!
