Windows 10: After upgrading Win Home to Win 10/11 Pro cannot switch users

I have purchased new computers with Win Home 10/11 installed.I then purchase Win Pro upgrades and install them.Even though Switch User is an option, it will only let me choose the username I setup the computer with.Even with multiple local accounts installed.This happens if I connect to Azure AD or not.Help is sincerely appreciated.

If i have win 10 pro and i upgrade to win 11 will i be upgraded to win 11 pro or home?

pretty much the title. I currently have win 10 pro and am curious if i will get upgraded to win 11 pro for free or just win 11 home.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be getting new MB and CPU when I move to Win11. And I always do system volume image backups after I successfully update Windows so no problem there *Smile.

I suggest you do a drive image backup of your current win 10 drive.

I had some issues with Win 11 and I roll back using the Win10 image.

As you don't have a Win 11 supported CPU, you have to tweak the Win 11 installation files.
