Windows 10: After user name reset winows 10 will not boot up

Dell 3647 desktop service tag h4mvn02, upgraded to free windows 10 some time ago.

I forgot my password. Used a 3rd party software to change user name successfully and copy some files. After restart I got the prompt you need a bootable disk . I downloaded Mediacreation for windows 10 to a usb stick to do a reinstall. When the files loaded I got the message "selected disk is of the GPE partion style. Now I'm stuck.


I would love to get my system back without a reinstall.

Steps: To determine the user account type:

• 
  Login to any account.
  
• 
  Press Windows key+X.
  
• 
  Click on Control Panel.

  Click on User accounts.
  
• 
  Your user account will show and below that it will show your local account or admin account.
  
• 
  Once you know about the account type.
  
• 
  You can go to user account and change the name.
  
• 
  Press Windows key+R.
  
• 
  Type netplwiz and press enter.
  
• 
  Select the account and click on properties.

  Change the user name and click on apply and then ok and one more time click on ok on the main screen.
