Windows 10: After using Printscreen, emojis stop working?

Hi, I have upgraded to windows 11 which is the only thing I have changed programme wise. I have used edge since w10 without issues. The print screen button works slightly differently now though, I do not have to use the shortcut for the snipping tool which is great! although not a fan of w11 paint but I realised that everytime I use it, it stops the keyboard emoji's from working. Either via the windows key + period...or right clicking on the screen and choosing emoji. Neither will work, the menu does not come up. All I get is a period on the screen. . . . .Its really annoying as I am a commu

PrintScreen stopped working

My PrintScreen button stopped working in Windows 10 and I don't know why. I also tried Keyboard on the screen utility, so I can exclude mechanical problem. It must be some software problem in Windows or with some application running background. Any ideas?

 

How to fix emoji keyboard not showing up using shortcut

Hi,

This issue is often caused by a corrupted or missing data file. To better isolate if this is a user profile specific or an emerging issue, we suggest that you create a new user profile and try to use the same keyboard shortcut to get the emoji keyboard to
show up. Here's the link for the steps on how to:

In the meantime, we'll give you the steps for a workaround to access the emojis. Here are the steps:

• Right-click on the Taskbar.
• Select the Show touch keyboard button option and a keyboard icon will show up on your
  Taskbar.
  
• Click the keyboard icon and select the emoji button.
