Windows 10: After using the snip tool and clicking the image that pops up in the taskbar, the Sketch...

Hi,It used to be that after using the Snip tool, an image would pop up that I could click.After clicking the image it would open the Sketch tool where I could edit the image.When I click the image after using the Snip tool, the Sketch tool no longer opens.I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the "Snip and sketch" tool but the problem remains.For some reason despite having set Windows to use English, I still only get Norwegian applications in the Windows store, so I have the Norwegian "Snip and Sketch" application installed, is that the problem?

Please try this:

Step 1:

Click Start, and type Snipping Tool.

Right-click Snipping Tool from the search results, and click App Settings

Click Reset,

Click Repair.

Note: In Windows 11, there is no Snip and Sketch. It comes pre-installed with the new Snipping Tool (which replaces the old Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch apps)

Step 2:

Turn off Focus assist if it's enabled

Step 3:

Open Services.msc and make sure that the following services are set to "Automatic" and running:

• Windows Push Notifications System Service
  
• Windows Push Notifications User Service
  

 

Snipping Tool and Snip and Sketch: Are there 2 separate apps?

I have Snipping Tool on my Taskbar. (I didn't do it, so I don't know where it is found. I just it requested from Staples in setup.) So, yes, I remember seeing this pop up about Snipping Tool moving and or changing into Snip and Sketch.

What I have is clearly called "Snipping Tool". Do I have a separate app called Snip and Sketch on this Windows 10 Surface? If so, which directory, I mean folder is it in and what is its .exe name?

 

Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch Resolutions

Hi Guys,

Do you Guys know how to go about increasing the resolution of images taken using the Snipping Tool and / or the Snip & Sketch tool? The default resolution setting for both app is way too low (at 96DPI only) The image below shows the Properties window for an image taken with the Snipping Tool as well as the Snip & Sketch tool. As you can see, it's too low, I would like to increase it.





Any help / guidance would be greatly appreciated.
