  1. After waking from Sleep, PC can't connect to Wi-Fi and then crashes.

Brand new custom build,. Using Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 Wi-Fi 7 HBS Network Adapter with up to date driver. After waking from Sleep, I am not connected to Wi-Fi. It will say "Connected, no internet". Trying to disable Wi-Fi glitches out, it stays enabled and all networks disappear. After about 30-60 seconds I get BSOD with "Driver Power State Failure". First I made sure BIOS is up to date, reinstalled GPU drivers, and disabled Fast Startup and Hibernate. When it happened again I checked System Logs and noticed a Warning for Intel Ethernet Controller I226-V. I am not using Ethernet, but since

Wi-Fi connectivity problem after PC wakes from sleep

Thanks in advance for any help solving a problem which is now about one month old.

After my PC wakes from sleep, my Wi-Fi connection typically (but not always) takes 10-15 minutes to work (or, if I need to get started for the day, I simply reboot). All other devices using the same Wi-Fi signal/router are ok. On waking from sleep, the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar will show a connection, but webpages throw error messages (using Brave, these are variously 'err_network changed', or 'err_timed out'. Edge does not connect either, so it's not looking like a browser problem). Outlook messages will not load, and will show no connection, and Teams will not connect. Even when unable to retrieve emails or open web pages, the ping test via the command prompt shows a connection. Sometimes Outlook will start to work, and my email inbox will update, before webpages become reachable (strange...). Randomly within these post-waking moments the Wi-Fi will, sometimes, show a disconnection, then reconnect, until eventually everything settles down and Wi-Fi stays working consistently: that is, until the PC is left alone long enough for it to sleep again.

I've been keeping an eye on Errors listed in the Event Viewer, and those currently named in the last 24 hours which look network-related are Event IDs 4311 (NetBT) and 5010 (Netwtw10).

I've found lots of advice online relating to problems like this, and have tried all these at some point:

    • right-clicking the Wi-Fi icon and selecting 'Diagnose network problems', although sometimes this shows a Wi-Fi connection is open even though emails are not loading and webpages are unreachable
    • restarting the router
    • updating Wi-Fi drivers (both via the motherboard manufacturer's page, and via Intel for more recent generic drivers. Right now the drivers are the latest generic ones)
    • restarting the Wi-Fi network adaptor
    • uninstalling and reinstalling the Wi-Fi network adaptor
    • rolling back Wi-Fi drivers before updating
    • network resetting via Network & Internet/Advanced network settings
    • unticking the 'allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' option in the Wi-Fi adaptor properties via Device Manager
    • setting power options for the Wi-Fi adaptor to 'maximum performance' via Power settings/Advanced settings
    • disabling unused ethernet and Bluetooth network adaptors
    • running these via the command prompt run as an administrator: ipconfig /release; ipconfig /flushdns; ipconfig /renew; netsh int ip reset: netsh winsock reset
    • resetting Windows Firewall
    • removing third party anti-virus, Sophos Home Premium (though my PC is not, yet, using the inbuilt Windows antivirus because it's now using the anti-virus built in to my back-up software package, Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office)

But, I've still found no permanent fix.

No changes have been made to the PC to account for the start of this problem, and for some (unrelated) reason my system restore points seem to have disappeared meaning I've lost the option to roll back the clock.

The PC was self-assembled in 2022, and the OS is Windows 11 Pro (currently v10.0.22631 Build 22631). The motherboard is an MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk, and the inbuilt Wi-Fi adaptor is an Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz.

Any and all suggestions on solving this gratefully received!

    Automatic Connection To Wi-Fi

When my PC wakes up, the Wi-Fi connects automatically even though “Connect automatically when in range” is off. This happens even if the PC was disconnected from the Wi-Fi before it went into sleep mode. How can the automatic connection be stopped?

Wi-Fi looses internet connection after waking up from sleep

    Hi,

    Thank you for responding.

I apologize for the delay in response. Try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to switch to wired connection (Connected the internet cable to your device), try to wake up the computer from sleep mode and check if the issue persists.

Step 2: As you are losing the internet connection after waking up from sleep mode, I suggest you to boot the computer to safe mode, try to wakeup the computer from sleep mode in Safe mode with networking and check if there is any issue with
    internet connection.

Refer: Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10

Try the above. Reply to the post with an updated status of this issue for further assistance.
