Windows 10: After Win 10 update, YouTube videos play magnified 100%.

Videos play this way [magnified] in Edge and Chrome, but play fine in FireFox. Any ideas or suggestions?

Windows 10: Can't play youtube videos in fullscreen because of Docked Magnifier

Hi All,

I use the magnifier in docked mode at the top of my screen. On Windows 7, when I was watching a YouTube clip and double clicked to go full screen, the magnifier would disappear so I could watch a full screen video with no obstruction. Now on Windows 10 the
magnifier will stay over the top of the video. This used to be a n issue I had with Windows XP which seemed to get fixed in Win 7.

Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening?

I am having this same issue with Windows 10 Magnifier. When you try to view full screen videos the magnifier is on top of the video. This is not only true for YouTube, but for applications as well. The magnifier is always on top, which was not the case in
Windows 7.

I can verify the replication of this glitch with Firefox and IE. Both worked fine with 7. Also, video software such as Kodi (XBMC) has the same glitch.

I am visually impaired and have used the magnifier for years. This glitch is a real hassle. You have to close and reopen the magnifier every time you want to watch a full screen video.

Any fix or work around would be appreciated.

  Did you check if similar issue persists on browsing YouTube videos on other browse

  • No, only online videos on browsers.

I tried your suggestion twice to uninstall the drivers and reinstalling it again, didnt work.

I also tried installing the update in clean boot, also didnt work.

I am sure it is not a browser issue. Here is my debug:

I went one step further.

Upon installing the 2 updates, I uninstalled security update KB3163018 only, and i was able to play full screen mode again. BUT, problem is Windows keeps forcing me to install KB3163018 every time!!! And when this KB3163018 is installed, my youtube can't
play full screen mode again. And I have to go programs feature to uninstall this update everyday! Please help address this issue. Thanks!
