Windows 10: After Win 11 update, right-click does not work on some items found on Start Context? Menu -...

After Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro update, right-click now does not work on some items found on Start Context? Menu accessed by right-clicking the Start buuton - specifically: Event Viewer, Device Manager, Disk Management, Computer Management, Task Manager and File Explorer although any/ all of these programs will run if accessed in other more convoluted! ways. Other items on this menu, eg Installed Apps, Power Options, System, etc work correctly when right-clicked. I've tried Win 11 Repair, DISC, SFC and using latest drivers I believe. Help! Thank you.

Add or Remove Start Context menu items

I was not asking about adding and removing regular app items to the start menu, but rather adding or removing items from the Context Menu (Win+X). Specifically, I would like to add the Devices and Printers item to the list.

Context menu items not working in Start and Desktop

Good morning,

recently I found out that my Start menu & context menu items on desktop are not working correctly. For example:

When I right-click on Start menu, context menu appears (Programs and Features, Power Options, Event Viewer,...), but only 2 items are working (Desktop & Shut down or sign out). When I right-click on any icon on desktop and choose "Run as Administrator",
nothing happens.

I wanted to do integrity check, but when I run sfc /scannow, I get "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service" error. Any help, please?

 

Regarding right click context menu items in Win 10

I have a question regarding right click context menu items in Win 10....I have added a registry entry in directory/background/shell and when I right click on the desktop, the item name appears and when I click on it, the program runs....how do I get that
item to appear in any window, on any file type, in any program, or app?...An example is the "Copy" item....thank you
