My Windows 10 desktop just received auto update on12/4/23. The Windows 10 22H2 updates installed were: KB5032189,KB5032339,KB5032883.After the update, there were various system issues, so I tried to do a Restore to checkpoint prior to the update, but that failed, saying a file was open. It suggested closing the Virus software and trying the restore again, but this failed with the same error. I worked through some of the issues, but the one I cannot get working is the ability to Right Click on the icons in my Taskbar as the bottom of the window. Windows 10 update fails at 98% (KB5032189 and KB5032339)

I’m struggling with the KB5032189 and KB5032339, they both fail at the final 98% after booting. (and then Windows reverts the changes.)

I’m running Windows 10 Pro build 19045.3448 on a 13600k with 64GB ram

What I have tried so far: (most of it several times)

1. Windows update troubleshooter, no change.
   
2. C: drive has 700 GB free, and is free of errors etc. (2tb Samsung 990 pro).
   
3. Have cleared Windows update cache and catalogues.
   
4. Have used SFC /scannow, no change
   
5. Have used DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth etc, no change.
   
6. Windows10Upgrade9252 and MediaCreationTool22H2 say windows is up to date.
   
7. Have disabled the antivirus etc and even uninstalled it completely, but no change.
   
8. Have done extensive scans with several antivirus tools etc, and no virus/malware etc found.
   

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

You'll notice that there's an issue for your Nvidia driver (lots of 'Not added' reports) I expect there will be more drivers listed similarly if you care to look. There are instances of very strange characters suggesting corruption, unless you have an explanation:



I also saw some that looked Arabic.

Exclude pattern skipped because enumeration root is not present - many many instances. I don't know what your drivers file is, sorry- no extension... how did you create it? Thanks.

 

KB5032189 Windows 10 Cumulative Update Build 19045.3693 (22H2)  

Installed the CU and the .NET Framework patches... fairly fast... Three things were installed. I assume the third item was Update Health thingy...
