Windows 10: After Win11 Update 24H2 was installed on my work PC, my SharePoint Designer 2013 crashes

When using SharePoint Designer 2013, I try to open any asset on a on-Prem 2016 SharePoint site such as form templates, CSS files, JS files, etc. I do have the latest release of SharePoint Designer 2013 installed. We found an older PC at work without the 24H2 upgrade and Designer 2013 works fine on that PC. I checked Event Viewer logs and don't see anything being logged when the crashes occur.How can I get Designer 2013 working again post 24H2 update??

Could not open SharePoint Designer from Edge

Hi,

When I am working on SharePoint 2013 with Edge, I occsationally need to open SharePoint Designer from SharePoint.

I don't know if I have ever indicate to Windows 10, but now it only switch to Office (descktop) rather than SharePoint Designer.

Is there a way to change this association?

Sharepoint designer not installing in windows 10

Upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10. Running Office 2016 (32 bit since my visio and project packages are still 2010 versions).

Want to install sharepoint designer 2013. 32 bit of course. However, running install ends in nothing happening. Just a files extracting bar and then...nothing. What is the problem?

Try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to add the website under trusted sites in Internet Explorer and check if it helps.

Follow:

• Open Internet Explorer
• Click Tools/ Settings at the right top corner of the window.
• Click Internet Options
• Click the Security tab
• Click Trusted sites
• Click Sites
• Click on Add this website to the zone to add the site.
  

Step 2: Change the developer tools to IE 10.

• Open Internet Explorer, access SharePoint 2013
  website.
• Press F12 key from the keyboard, click on Emulation
  tab, select Internet Explorer 10 and check if the issue persists.
